Radica Gamester Clashpads are designed to cause mayhem while playing multiplayer games. A box linking the 2 control pads operates as a switch box that will alter the button layouts on the opposite players pad while mid play.

Box also contains text in Spanish, German and French languages.

www.TheUnfairAdvantage.com is advertised on the packaging but has been defunct since 2007 and now redirects to a new domain set to http://www.additionalmedia.com/ which appears to be a Pay Per Click advertising company. The original website was used for the product display of the Radica accessory and software lines for PSP Xbox & PS2, aswel as the range of Plug n Play products they released for home TV's. Most notable is probably the Tee-Off plug and play golf trackball game. During 2006 the website started re-directing users to the www.Radicauk.com website which itself now re-directs to the Mattel webshop @ http://shop.mattel.com/shop .

The following information is taken directly from the original advert for the Clashpads on the Radicauk website in 2006:

A brand new controller pack for PS2 that will create havoc for gamers, changing the way multiplayer games are played!
Clash Pads contain two specialist controllers and a unique central console unit that gives players the ability to disrupt the opposition controller - creating an Unfair Advantage!
During gameplay the controller will flash a signal letting the gamer know that he/she can temporarily play havoc with their opponents controls!
Clash pads also provide a level playing field for players of different abilities, by enabling them to set varying levels of disruption, giving the poorer gamer the opportunity to create more mayhem than their opponent.

Transforms all head-to-head gameplay, adding a fun twist to any match up
Send temporary disabling effects to your opponent
Switch - randomise button layouts
Knockout - disable controls
Overturn - affect the analogue sensitivity
Possess - take over the controller

Two ergonomic controllers can be used normally by disabling all functions
Adjustable frequency and the ability to switch individual functions on and off creates a level playing field for opponents of varying ability

--end--

Whats strange about the packaging is that even though the contents are factory sealed, there is a replacement barcode sticker on the inside of the packaging which covers the original printed barcode. This could be an indication that the company was bought out at some point, and barcodes were replaced before packaging? or possibly a printing error? more information is needed on this.

Retailed in the high street for £39.99
Sold on Gameplay.co.uk as an official dealer for £29.99. Gameplay were bought out by Gamestation in 2012 and today the URL re-directs to the Game.co.uk website.
