2 versions of the limited edition large box exist. One as shown here which includes the comic, and a seperate version without the comic. The only thing to differentiate between them is a sticker on the front of the box labelling "free comic inside", and the barcode has also been changed by being overlayed with a sticker. Though it is not 100% certain wether only re-barcoded versions contained the comic, or if there was another reason for this.
It is currently unsure where the version of the game including the comic was distributed. Though sources discovered by our resident Ben Eyre explain how the comic was also part of a free giveaway for joining the mailing list of Simon Furman from Wildfur.com (now defunct). The signing took place at Kulture Shock, Norwich on the 24th Aug 2004 and was in order to promote Simons new Transformers annual. Those who attended and signed up to his mailing list received the Atari/Transformers mini comic for free.
