Destroying wave after wave of evil alien scum has never been so satisfying! Let Them Come is a survival mode challenge game thats certain to make you lose track of time.
Taking control of Rock Guner, you pitch yourself behind a stack of crates and prepare yourself for the alien invasion heading straight towards you. Choosing from an array of kick-ass weapons and upgrades you prove to the world your one bad-ass dude by slaughtering each and every alien that sets before you.
Let Them Come is a simplistic yet extremely addictive 2d pixel-art shoot-em-up where you sit with your back to the wall and destroy wave after wave of enemy. Points are accumulated with each kill and can be used to buy a multitude of weapons & upgrades to help you on your mission. Starting off with just the basics you'll find yourself being mutilated time after time in order to build up funds to progress.
Its a format we've seen before in many flash-type browser games and those familiar with them will know how additive they are. Let Them Come however has a higher level of development and offers players a more gripping experience with its dark and atmospheric setting. Stranded in space on a ship full of aliens you have nothing but your choice of weapons to keep you alive. Endless swarms of aliens charge to attack you, and if that wasn't bad enough then theres several Boss battles to encounter too.
We got chance to play let Them Come at this years EGX Rezzed, sadly there was noone from the Tuatara Games or Versus Evil team around to speak to at the time, but we spent a good 20 mins playing the game which would of been much longer if it wasn't for a 1pm booking we had.
Its not a new idea, but its a very addictive game. The simplistic 2d pixel art graphics hold a high level of detail and combined with the great use of dynamic lighting it creates a deep engrossing experience that seems to make time disappear. We had great fun playing it and hope to get some gameplay footage uploaded when the game is released. Its not the type of game your likely to play day-in/day-out, but you'll be more than happy to lose a few hours to every week or so.
